King’s Day of Protest

June 15, 2025

In honor of King’s Day of Protest around the nation, I wanted to post other past democratic presidents, and congress’s immigration views so that you can realize the hypocrisy of these protests against Trump’s removals of undocumented persons.

While the videos are short ‘compilations’, I also share the original video, and text if I was able to locate it so as not to take their words out of context.

Nancy Pelosi

In 2005 Nancy Pelosi speaks on the house floor.

Pelosi, N. (2005, dec 15). Broken borders. CONGRESSIONAL RECORD— HOUSE. H11815.

“Broken borders. That’s an oxymoron. Something we can’t tolerate. Borders, of their nature, our definition of a nation, and our protection as a country. Broken borders, that doesn’t… they don’t exist. We can’t tolerate them. So let’s say from the start, that we all in this body, and I know I can speak very firmly for the democrats, supports strong border control. And it must be part, and the first part, of any comprehensive immigration reform. We haves as our obligation as elected officials to keep the American people safe, and our borders are our first line of defense, one of our early lines of defense to do that.

Democrats support also, enforcing laws, current laws against those who came here illegally, and those who hire illegal immigrants. Yet the Bush administration has refused to do just this. Imagine, that for just all of this talk about illegal immigration to the United States, and going after those workers who are working here illegally, and we should, but we also must have employer sanctions. Where are these people working? Why are we not enforcing the law against employers who hire illegal, illegal undocumented people here. The Bush administration has prosecuted only 3 employer sanctioned cases in the last fiscal year. Only three cases. When, yes when, are we going to take this issue seriously? …

Mr. Speaker, we all know what we must do. Democrats have long called for strong border security. Effective law enforcement and for comprehensive immigration reform. And all that we must do as elected officials, we have the responsibility to make the American the people safer, and to make America stronger.” – Nancy Pelosi

Barack Obama

Fast Forward to 2014, when Obama spoke on immigration. Here is a ‘compilation’ clip.

“Even as we are a nation of immigrants, we are also a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws. And I believe that they must be held accountable. Especially those who may be dangerous. If you’re a criminal, you’ll be deported, If you plan to enter the US illegally, your changes of getting caught and sent back, just went up. The actions I’m taking are not only lawful, they are the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president, and every single Democratic president for the past half century.”

According to reports by multiple outlets, Barack Obama removed over 3 million immigrants” during his two terms. – NPR

CLAIM: During the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama, immigration authorities deported more than 3 million people, 75% to 83% of whom did not see a judge or have the opportunity to plead their case.

Rating:  Mostly True

Claims that 75% to 83% of those deported “never saw a judge or had a chance to plead their case” are based on statistics from individual years, particularly 2012 and 2013. These percentages refer to so-called “summary removals” carried out through legal procedures such as “expedited removal” and “reinstatement of removal,” which do not involve a hearing before an immigration judge. From 2009 to 2016, these two categories combined made up anywhere between 58% and 84% of all formal removals annually, averaging about 74% over the entire period – Snopes

And the majority of them did not have opportunity to have their cases heard either. Yet none of you protested then. Why was it not an issue even though Obama actually built cages to house them in 2014?

Something Trump also got blamed for, even by Michelle Obama. The irony!

Joe Biden

It’s crazy that Trump removing illegal immigrants from our country has created such chaos, rioting, and destruction by democrats across the nation for his actions to deport criminals, many dangerous ones, as he is allowed by law.

America’s people voted for Trump to shut down the open borders. Up to 10 million ‘unvetted’ immigrants walked in during Biden’s term. Just like we voted for Obama to do it.

As a presidential candidate during his third debate, Joe Biden said that if he were elected president, migrants should “immediately surge to the border” if they were seeking asylum. The migrants took him up on it, millions and millions of them. While I can’t blame the immigrants for wanting a better life, Biden can’t just ignore America’s immigration laws that affects all of her citizens and just open our borders to anyone who wants to come.

About 1 month after Biden’s inauguration, he and California democrat Rep. Sánchez, Linda T. [D-CA-38] attempted to pass :
H.R.1177. (2021, feb 18). Citizenship Act of 2021.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1177

That would give ALL immigrants a new title of lawful prospective immigrant. Doesn’t matter whether they came in before or after he took office. Every immigrant that entered into America, either legally or illegally, could retain permanent resident status.

This is significant when you realize he let upwards of 8-10 million noncitizens to just walz right across the border. Will they be getting ‘voting rights in American elections in the future with another ‘pork bill’ slipped in somewhere without the American voters even realizing it? It could very well happen! This bill fortunately did not pass.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/11/briefing/us-immigration-surge.html  archive
“Under President Biden, more than two million immigrants per year have entered, government data shows.

The numbers in the Times analysis include both legal and illegal immigration. About 60 percent of immigrants who have entered the country since 2021 have done so without legal authorization, according to a Goldman Sachs report based on government data.” (I was unable to locate this report, so I do not know if it includes the million+ gotaways)

Donald Trump

On day one, he immediately took action to protect and CLOSE our southern borders as that was one of the most important issues to his voters and Americans.

“On his first day in office, Trump declared a national emergency at the Southern border and designated drug cartels and Latin American gangs, including Tren de Aragua and MS-13, as terrorists groups.” – Spectrum News (2025)

He did so with the signing of an Executive Order and listed the cartels targeted with a goal of ‘Total Elimination Of Cartels And Transnational Criminal Organizations’ as noted by his Attorney General.

His mission on this topic is clear.

PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT:

  • On day one, President Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border.
  • President Trump immediately reinstated “Remain in Mexico” and ended catch and release.
  • Daily border encounters have plunged 95% since President Trump took office.
  • Under President Trump’s leadership, Secretary Noem and Secretary Kennedy have reunited nearly 5,000 unaccompanied children with a safe relative or guardian.
  • Migrants are turning BACK before they even reach our border— migration through Panama’s Darien Gap is down 99.99%.
  • President Trump is finishing the border wall. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) already has 85 miles of new construction either planned or under construction.
  • United States (U.S.) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) have seized nearly 232,000 pounds of fentanyl and other illicit drugs—stopping them from ever reaching American communities

The Criminals

And here we have some of the documentation of 100 of the criminals that are being removed from our country. Click X link for more mugshots 1-100.

Affects to Americans

Besides all the people and children who died, or were injured at the hands of these criminals, they also have a major effect on almost every portion of our lives as taxpayers. While I know there are many good and decent hardworking immigrants in our country, we are a nation of laws, and you can’t just break them by coming here illegally.

According to the New York Post – “The US has seen its largest surge in immigration in its history under the Biden Administration — surpassing the Ellis Island-era migration boom that changed the face of the nation forever, according to a shocking new analysis.

The exact size of the surge, however, is likely even larger than government data shows because it relies on the once-in-a-decade US Census, which tends to get fewer replies from migrants worried about their legal status.

Mehlman, with FAIR, said the damage of such massive unchecked illegal migration is costing taxpayers more than $150 billion each year.”

Jessica Vaughan, who serves as the director of policy studies at the conservative Center for Immigration Studies, said the surge in migration has hurt almost every aspect of American life for citizens and legal residents.

“I think there has been a lot of attention on the public safety and national security risks of this,” she told The Post.

“But the problem of the distortion of our labor markets and the impact on Americans and to a lesser extent, legal immigrants in these communities that have had to absorb all these migrants, that story has not been told,” she added.

“And I’m talking about the schools and the health care systems and the housing markets and the job markets are all under stress now because of this.” – NYP (2024)

Americans deserve to have their leaders and representatives that put them first. And that hasn’t been happening under that last administration.

It's too quiet around here. Your words matter!
