WILD HORSE REMOVALS BY STATE

A data list of federally protected wild horses and burros removed from their HMA (Herd management Area) rangeland by our government agency, the BLM (Bureau of Land Management). This is the very agency that is ‘supposed’ to protect them according to a 1971 Federal Law. These massive roundups are funded using taxpayers monies. This is a partial list pulled directly from BLM website. It only goes back to 2010, and many known past gathers are not listed here yet.

WISH LIST: Do you know of gathers not listed here. Tell me about it privately here, or in the comments below.

Stinkingwater Herd Management Area is 40 to 80 animals. An aerial survey of Stinkingwater HMA occurred on June 21, 2021. During this survey, a direct count of 449 horses (382 adults, 67 foals) were documented within and adjacent to the HMA.

Details of Gather

Helicopter drive-trapping operations will begin on August 15, 2021, or close thereto, and last 1 to 2 weeks. Exact start and end dates will be determined by the contractor’s availability. Watch for updates on this page.

Approximately 420 animals are planned for capture and transport to Oregon’s Off-Range Wild Horse and Burro Corrals, located in Hines, where they will be prepared for the BLM’s adoption and sales programs or long-term holding facilities located in Midwestern pastures. About 30 of those will be returned to the range, including 18 mares to be treated with GonaCon-Equine contraceptive.

  1. So disgusting to see all the list of cruel and unjustified roundups of America’s precious wild horses and burros — animals who do so much true good for the life community and yet are lied about, scapegoated and eliminated from their rightful and legal habitats! This is a real abomination and must stop! See my website https://thewildhorseconspiracy.org and book by the same title.

It's too quiet around here. Your words matter!
