As I have been doing a lot of research the last few days relating to: religions, the current wars, past wars, historical genocides, and atrocities (here and abroad) spanning thousands of years….
…even as an ‘atheist’, I can see the wisdom of these words.
“God talks to human beings through many vectors: wise people, organized religion, the Great Books of religions, through art, music and poetry. But nowhere with such detail, and grace and joy, as through creation. When we destroy nature, we diminish our capacity to sense the divine” – RFK Jr.
For me, ‘nature’ has always been my ‘God’ in a sense. The vector from where I seek all my wisdom, understanding, nurturing, and joy.
There is always more to learn of the extraordinary natural world that exists. We must continue in our education, in search of this knowledge, throughout our lives.
Never taking it for granted.
So that even when the world is in turmoil and unrest all around us, we can see how fortunate we truly are.
We should all count our blessings, even the smallest ones, each day.
Whenever I’m surrounded in nature’s beauty, I can always find peace, serenity, and calm. But most importantly, I find the clarity to the answers that I seek.
We must put a higher ‘value’ on our most important resources. They feed and nurture us in more ways than one.
Our planet must always be protected!

So on this day to be thankful, I am most grateful to all of those ‘worldwide’ advocates that fight for all of us everyday.
For those that stand firm in their dedicated advocacy to protect our lands, our waters, our air, our wildlife, our people, our rights, our freedoms, and our historic places from those that wish to destroy all that is beautiful in the natural world for: power, control, profit, and greed.
To all of you that devote: your time, your energy, your focus, your career, your family, your sanity, your joy, your peace, and even those who risk your lives to bring knowledge and awareness to the rest of us, for you I am truly thankful!
Working behind the scenes, your tireless and selfless efforts have not gone unnoticed. They have made a tremendous difference!
On this day of showing gratitude,
I am most thankful for you!
Stay strong in your efforts, stand together united,
and we will be victorious in our quests for a better world for all!
